Captain America Shield (Really Flies)
Hello guys! today I'm going to be showing you how to make a flying Captain America Shield! This project will take about a day or two. So be patient, its worth the wait!
Materials
- BIG piece of cardboard
- Pencil
- Ruler
- Scissors
- Glue (Standard Elmer's Glue is good for this)
- Acrylic paint (Red,White, and Blue)
- Paint Brush (I suggest a small one, it makes it look amazing)
- Newspaper
Finding
Find a HUGE piece of cardboard to use
Penciling the Correct Size
use a pencil to see how big you need your shield and make a circle for that size, don't forget to make the lines in the circle
Cutting
Cut out that circle, and don't forget to trim it to the perfect size, don't cut out the lines in the circle
THis is what it should look like
Draw and Cut
Draw those long rectangles and cut them out
Folding
Take your ruler and put it at one of the lines you drew in the circle
Gluing
take those long cardboard rectangles you cut out and glue them to the back of your shield
Folding
fold your shield like so
Getting Ready to Paint
first, lay out a ton of newspapers or a big black bag, and choose your paints (red white and blue work the best!)
Painting
Now paint your shield and wait until it dries. Then paint your shield again
