Captain America Shield (Really Flies)

Hello guys! today I'm going to be showing you how to make a flying Captain America Shield! This project will take about a day or two. So be patient, its worth the wait!

Materials

  1. BIG piece of cardboard
  2. Pencil
  3. Ruler
  4. Scissors
  5. Glue (Standard Elmer's Glue is good for this)
  6. Acrylic paint (Red,White, and Blue)
  7. Paint Brush (I suggest a small one, it makes it look amazing)
  8. Newspaper

Finding

Find a HUGE piece of cardboard to use

Penciling the Correct Size

use a pencil to see how big you need your shield and make a circle for that size, don't forget to make the lines in the circle

Cutting

Cut out that circle, and don't forget to trim it to the perfect size, don't cut out the lines in the circle

Draw and Cut

Draw those long rectangles and cut them out

Folding

Take your ruler and put it at one of the lines you drew in the circle

Gluing

take those long cardboard rectangles you cut out and glue them to the back of your shield

fold your shield like so

Getting Ready to Paint

first, lay out a ton of newspapers or a big black bag, and choose your paints (red white and blue work the best!)

Painting

Now paint your shield and wait until it dries. Then paint your shield again
