Road trips are a summer essential. Wherever you are going, the memories made will stick with you forever. However, the journey may be tough, considering the cramp spaces with all the things that could be flying around, such as snacks and toys. But how can we make this activity more comfortable? Well I have seen many car tables designed for making eating easier in the car, and I have added my own twist to this idea.

Car tables are nothing new. There are many variations of them, but I wanted to change it to see if I could add my own flare to this design. First, I saw that most of the tables are mostly flat. I think to make sure things stay in place, do I decided to add magnets to my design to try and hold down the objects such as bowls and cups. This product is mostly intended for the use of children. Things can get messy when kids are around or even adults. This is why I decided to come up with my product.

There are two holes in table which the cup and plate/bowl will go into. I decided to add magnets on the bottom of the bowls and on the table itself. This will allow the items to stay in place. Another feature in this design is that the bowls, plates, and cups are all collapsible. This will minimize the amount of space needed to hold everything since it's already a tight space. The utensil holder is also removable as well. This will allow us to put a rectangular piece of wood with magnets on the bottom over the top which will create a flat work surface so you can draw or write on the go. Another way I chose to minimize the space if that the table itself is collapsible so when you no longer need it, just push it up so it's flat on the back side of the seat. This product is compatible with both the backseat and drivers seat.

I modeled the product true to size to get a retrospect what it would like like if it came to life. Each part of this model is removable and I used wood as the table's material.

Overall, I think this product would be useful if you would bring children to road trips, and the clean up for this product will be fairly easy. I think there are somethings that I could improve on in this product and my fusion360 skills, such as rendering and learning more functions in fusion360. But this has been such as fun project to make and I hope you enjoyed joining me in this process of designing it!
