Hello again! I bring you a tutorial to frame your drawing or photos of any size. It's a frame 1 cm deep and 1,5 cm thick that will look great on your wall.
Hola de nuevo! Te traigo un tutorial para enmarcar tus dibujos o fotos de cualquier tamaño. Es un marco de 1 cm de profundidad y 1,5 cm de grosor que quedará divino en tu pared.
Supplies
- Cardboard aproximately 135g. (Thicker than a normal paper)
- Scissors or cutter
- Ruler
- Pencil
- Tape or stick glue or silicone
- Acetate (optional)
- Cartulina de aproximadamente 135g. (Más gruesa que un folio)
- Tijeras o cúter
- Regla
- Lápiz
- Cinta adhesiva o pegamento de barra o silicona.
- Acetato (opcional)
Mark the Lines
Prepare the cardboard, to make the most of the cardboard we will start at the corner so we already have it cut out.
Place the ruler 6 cm from the edge and mark 1,5 cm, 1 cm, 1.5 cm, 1 cm and 1 cm, (in the ruler: 1,5cm 2,5cm 4cm 5cm 6cm.).
Do this on both sides of the edge.
Prepara la cartulina, para aprovechar al máximo de la cartulina empezaremos por la esquina así ya lo tenemos recortado.
Colocamos la regla a 6 cm del borde y marcamos 1,5 cm, 1 cm, 1.5 cm, 1 cm y 1 cm, (en la regla: 1,5cm 2,5cm 4cm 5cm 6cm.).
Hacer esto en los dos lados del borde.
Mark the Lines
Place the drawing in the corner and mark the silhouette on the missing side.
Then do the same on the remaining sides.
Colocar el dibujo en la esquina y marcar la silueta por el lado que falta.
Después hacer lo mismo en los lados que sobran.
Cut the Rectangle
Cut along the edge.
Corta por el borde.
Cut Squares
Cut out the squares leaving a 1 cm strip as shown in the picture.
Recortar los cuadrados dejando la tira de 1 cm como en la imagen.
Cut Trapezoids
Mark 1.5 cm from the penultimate strip of only two parallel sides. Make a trapezoid with the corners of the 1.5 cm strips and cut out.
Marcar 1,5 cm de la penúltima tira de solo dos lados paralelos. Hacer un trapecio con las esquinas de las tiras de 1,5 cm y recortar.
Flod the Lines
Fold all folds with a ruler except the one closest to the center.
Doblar todos los pliegues con una regla excepto el que está mas pegado al centro

Place the drawing and fit the pieces together. You can use glue or silicone.
Colocar el dibujo y encajar las piezas. Puedes usar pegamento o silicona.
Cut a Slot

Make a cut slightly larger than the width of the drawing. The cut should be close to the top.
Hacer un corte un poco más grande que el ancho del dibujo. El corte tiene que ir pegado a la parte de arriba.

If you are going to hang the frame you can do it with double-sided tape directly on the wall or make a hanger with a piece of cardboard in a U-shape (see picture). Place it in the centre with glue.
If you are going to support the frame on a surface you have to make a support with a triangle.
Si vas a colgar el marco lo puedes hacer con cinta de doble cara directamente en la pared o hacer un colgador con un trozo de cartulina en forma de U (ver imagen). Colocarlo justo en el centro con pegamento.
Si vas a apoyar el marco en una superficie tienes que hacer un apoyo con un triángulo.
Acetate (optional)
To protect the drawing and make it look like glass, you can put a sheet of transparent acetate of the same size as the drawing. Insert the drawing and the acetate through the slot and you're done!
Para proteger el dibujo y que quede como un cristal puedes poner una lámina de acetato transparente del mismo tamaño que el dibujo. Inserta el dibujo y el acetato por la ranura y listo!
