Cardboard Haunted House With Lights.
Tools & materials:
cardboard stock, corrugated cardboard, hot glue, fiber optic strands of various colors, clear plastic sheets, acrylic paint, heavy duty scissors, exacto knife, scrapbooking paper (for wallpaper) led lights & switches, hole punch, elmers clear dry glue, & lots of time & patience.
Basic House Shape
First I made a basic sketch of how I wanted the house to look. I then took corrugated cardboard & glued the cardstock type cardboard down after sketching the perimeter of the house onto the cardboard base. Before doing this I cut the spots out where the windows are.
Siding, Shingles, Wallpaper, Windows, & Paint.
I cut strips of cardstock which I used to make the siding. I used black scrapbook paper with a texture for the shingles. I also used scrapbook paper for the wallpaper inside. After that I glued the plastic windows in & got to work on the paint.
Adding the Lights & Fiber Optic Strands.
I made a lightbox to run a majority of the fiber optic cables to using a multi led flashlight as a basis. It has several white leds along with flashing red and blue which worked perfect for my application here. I made tubes out of straws to route the various strands of fiber optic cables into. It took several yards of multiple colored fiber optic strands.
Stickers
I purchased several stickers to decorate the house. I originally intended to make it a boardgame based off a themepark with a haunted house as the central part but I scrapped that idea in favor of just making it a neat Halloween display for trick or treaters to enjoy seeing in the window.
Demonic Pentagram With Casket
One of the central aspects of the outside lawn of the house was the demon casket. I made a mold using cardboard & used several hot glue sticks to make it & glued a plastic skeleton inside with more hot glue running fiber optic cables to his eyes for flashing effect & other fiber optic cable to light him up. I then added fake blood over him which made for a cool effect. I made a pentagram base out of cardboard & used hot glue around the edges to look like blood oozing out once it was painted. I looked up demonic symbols online & meticulously painted them all around the pentagram.

Waiting for Nightfall.
Soon the sun will set. Creatures of the night are ready. House guests not so much.
Artificial Light Take Over.
For the sake of the house guests hopefully there's not a thunderstorm that knocks the power out.
