Make your own custom fit laptop case out of cardboard!!!

Cardboard Gathering

Find a nice big piece of cardboard

Transfer the Pattern

Transfer the pattern generated here to the cardboard. You will have to click on the Laptop Case Pattern Link. Paste together the pattern. Use a glue stick to stick it onto the cardboard lightly (no need to go too crazy with the glue, you are going to want to pull the pattern off)

Cut

Cut the outside lines (thick lines)

Fold Lines

Take a slightly sharp object and draw along the fold lines with quite a bit of pressure do not press too hard you do not want to put holes in it (a bone folder, the edge of a ruler or a ball point pen all work pretty well)

Folding

Fold all of your newly pressed lines. Remove your pattern.

Glue

Put white glue (PVA) along the 1 inch flaps on the edge. Use masking tape (take a bit of the stick out of the tape by putting it on your clothes and tearing it off first) to keep everything in place while it drys.

Closure and Handle

Now is the hard part... figuring out how you would like to keep it closed... there are a couple of options. Stick on Velcro (that stuff comes off easily unless you use the really strong stuff they make for hanging pictures), you might want to try to do a button with elastic thing. Be creative!!!

Decorating It

And finally the fun part. Decorate as you want (you could have done it while it was flat too)
