Cardboard Painting Palette

This is a project for school where we had to give extra value to a cardboard box of choice. I chose a box of paint tubes and integrated a painting palette with brush holder. This instructable can also be made without the box by making use of an ordinary piece of corrugated cardboard.

Getting Started

Tools

  • Scissors
  • Cutter
  • Pencil
  • Ruler

Materials

  • Cardboard box or piece of corrugated cardboard of at least 20x20cm
  • Printed template

Cutting Shape

Cut the template using scissors, for difficult parts it is best to use a cutter.

Trace the Outline

Take the cardboard and use the template to draw the outlines on the cardboard.

Making the Palette

Using scissors and a cutter cut out the main shape and the four brush holders. Place the four brush holders in the rectangle openings on the palette.

You can place two brushes onto the palette and start painting, enjoy.
