Case for LCD and Arduino
Before you read this I have a useful piece of info that will save your time, your Arduino, your computer and your money.
DO NOT USE AN LCD SHIELD!
You will have to search and search for its code!!
I have the shield, and it it RUBBISH*
Just fix headers to a regular lcd and connect via jumper wires, it will work with the box I make in this instructable.
WHEN READING REMEMBER:
TOP = SIDE OF THE ARUINO THAT INCLUDES DIGITAL I/O PINS.
BOTTOM = SIDE OF THE ARDUINO THAT HAS POWER AND ANALOG INPUT.
FRONT = FACE OF THE SCREEN OR ARDUINO
BACK = ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE ARDUINO ( YOU CAN SEE THE BOTTOM OF THE HEADERS)
SIDE = LEFT (USB) OR RIGHT SIDE OF THE ARDUINO.
*For this purpose.
What You Will Need:
16x2 lcd shield (ONLY IF YOU CAN WRITE YOUR OWN CODE, NO ONLINE RESOURCE FOR CODE)
Arduino
Paper plate that looks wooden
Tape
FRONT and SIDES
Cut the plate into the four shapes shown above.
Then tape them together like shown.
Place It Over the Shield (or Screen)
Fill in any gaps near the screen with more paper wood.
Make sure the hole for the usb is over the usb, not on the other side.
The Back
The square marked 'shield' is the back.
Ignore the square marked 'top'.
Tape the shield square to the bottom of the arduino, and join it to the other pieces.
Fill Any Gaps.
But not the top, it will stay open so you can remove the arduino and screen.
I Cut a Capacitor in Half
This has nothing to do with the project, I am just showing it off!
