Casio F91, great watch but let down by the factory fitted yellow light. A problem as old at time but after many attempts I have found the solution, no soldering needed. Parts needed are 1 x 0805 SMD LED, any colour, a razor blade a needle and I recommend a new battery.

So you have your LED, firstly cut it down to about an inch of wire red & black, shave away approx half an inch of the plastic covering with your razor blade..........................Next test the LED, hold the red wire to the back of the battery and the black wire to the front and we have lift off.

The next job is to attach the wires to the circuit board, now other methods will show you that you need to solder but no no no we dont want to be burning our fingers.

So with your needle/razor you will want to try and be as careful as you can to make a little hole next to the gold half moon thingy on the top left of the circuit board. Thread the red wire through the hole and loop over so that it makes contact with the gold half moon thingy.

Then if you hold up the circuit board to the light you will see two big holes either side of the big black square in the center, go ahead and thread the black wire through there and bend it back against the back side of the board so that it stays held in place.

Now put the circuit board and battery back together and test, press the light button. Fold the LED down into your desired position, I prefer it along the bottom as rather than on the side. Video should be attached.

Now put all pieces back together in to the white plastic housing an test again. Video should be attached.

Put your F91W back together, and let there be light, finally.
