I am going to teach you to make a presentable cheese boards for social gatherings. I will teach you to make it very balanced since it will have a range of flavors and since it will include protein, carbs and fats. Personally, in my family we love giving this to our guests since it is very simple to make yet it is enjoyable and delicious.

Supplies

First you need to gather all of your supplies. This is what you will need:

  • A presentable board (preferably a wooden one)
  • A cheese knife
  • Prosciutto and/or Salami
  • Olives or pickles
  • Marmelade
  • Grapes or figs
  • Sliced Baguette and/or crackers
  • Nuts (optional)
  • Dijon (optional)
  • Cheese's: Aged: eg. Gruyere and/or Gouda, Soft: eg. Brie and/or Camembert, Blue: eg. Roquefort, Another one of choice (optional)

Place Your Cheeses

The first step is to grab your board and place the cheeses that you chose on the board. Try arranging them in the most organized manner possible. If a cheese is to big cut it into small slices like I did in this picture.

Add Your Fruit

The next step is to add the fruit of your choice. Personally I think that with a cheese board you should use grapes or figs. In my board I used figs. If you wish to use dried fruits like dried apricots you could also do that but in this case I chose fresh fruit for my board.

Next Add Meats and Bread

After adding everything you should add the meats and bread to your board. Here I used crackers for my bread and Prosciutto for my meat.

Place a Small Knife for Your Cheeses

Next, add a small cheese knife for the cheese that haven't been cut into slices.

Add Sauses

The last step is to add your sauces. Try using a bitter one and a sweet one. I used honey and marmalade for my sweet one and dijon for the bitter one. And as an additional optional step you can also add pickles or olives in a small container or jar.

Your Done!
