Charging Cable Fixer!

so I decided to make my own charging cable protector because my charging cable is ruined at the top where it's always moving and that ruined it, so I made a protector, it protects the top and the cable, so there is less damage.

Supplies

Box

Cylinder

Step 1: Model of Your Charging Cable

so I started by measuring the charging cable, so we could have the exact measurements from the charging cable. I made a model of my charging cable by using the box on Tinkercad, and cylinders to make the actual cable. After you've made the model of your charging cable, you are going to group them together by the group tool (seen above) and when you group them together you can see that they all become the same color you can range that by going up to the shapes thing, that pops up every time you click on something. you are going to click on the solid button and when you click on that a bunch of colors pops up, but you are going to click on the multicolor button and then all the colors go back to the way they were before.

Step 2: the Protector

you are going to get a new box and adjust the model of the charging cable to the box. the box is going to be the protector. like it's shown in the picture above.

my box:

height - 12 mm

length - 19 mm

width - 19 mm

Step 3: Hole

now you have to make the charging cable to a hole, by click on the hole option by under the shape thingy that pops up. and then your model turns into a hole, but it doesn't make a hole yet

Step 4: Making a Hole

Screen Shot 2020-04-14 at 23.39.27.png

when you've made your charging cable to a hole, you are going to select the charging cable and the box, by click anywhere on the platform and take your mouse over the charging cable and the box, and then letting go. after that, you are going to group them together by the grouping tool, and then your charging cable makes a hole in your box and it disappears.

Step 5: Hole for Your Cable

now you are going to make a hole at the bottom to make the cable go through or else you are going to have a lot of problems getting your cable to go through. I've made mine just big enough for the cable to go through but you can make it whatever size you want

Step 6: Finish!!

now you are done with your charging cable protector. you can customize your own like I made mine a mouse, but you could write your name on it or something in that matter.
