A quick, easy, and cheap way to extend your music stand to hold 4 pages of music at once!  Now your music won't be curling down, and will be visible when using a stand light in dark places.

Materials

Black tagboard
tape
a pen or marker - does not need to work

optional: paper clips

Total cost for me: 99 cents

Fold

Fold the tagboard in half the long way, making sure the corners are even.  Fold.

Use the pen or marker to press the fold again.  This will give you a very sharp crease.

Tape

Tape the edges of the tagboard closed.  I used one long piece on each side- you don't need to go all the way to the corners, or wrap it like it's going through the mail.  It just has to stay flat and closed.  Now you have a nice, stiff piece to set on your music stand!

Options

If you need to hold down your music, you can add some paper clips.  You could also use paper clips or magnets to hold the tagboard onto your stand if you are fighting a lot of wind.  Enjoy!
