I Bought this cheap soldering iron for ten dollars. Because i like make things and upgrade them, I decide to upgrade thist stuff a little bit. The reason to upgrade was, that i several times leave it alone plugged by mistake. It can be dangerous regarding fire, so i needed indicating light. The simplest way for me was use switch with pilot light. Problem is that the electric cord leads to soldering iron, so the switch would have be on cord, but it´s weird :D

So i decided for this:

Layout the parts and mark positions with marker. Then cut holes with soldering iron with cutting tip and smoothing hole with knife

After soldering wires I glued them with hot glue gun to isolate for safety.
