Steps
Each picture has a number which corresponds to the steps listed
- Get out all your ingredients together
- Carefully break your eggs into the mixing bowl
- Whisk eggs thoroughly
- Add flour + sugar + milk to whisked eggs
- Mix together thoroughly
- Crush Oreos using a dry blender or hard pounding tool
- Add crushed Oreos to the batter
- Separate some batter and mix in melted chocolate to the remaining batter left for the chocolate Oreo pancakes.
- Add some butter to the pan and put it on low heat then gently pour in a portion of your batter.
- As the pancakes cook, look out for bubbles forming on the top side of the pancake.
- When you notice many tiny bubbles, you can now flip over your pancakes.
- Repeat until you've exhausted your batter, and carefully arrange your pancake tower putting a lighter pancake color over a dark one.
Picking a Grazing Arrangement
While you can arrange a board in a variety of ways, from rectangular, to circular, this board uses a rectangular arrangement. To make your arrangement a lot easier you can make a quick sketch using paper or pen. I used the Autodesk AutoCAD software to make a quick sketch of a proposed arrangement, feel free to use it as a guide or inspiration.
Making Dip Bowls and Coating Banana's
Making Dip Bowls
- Get out some chocolate
- Melt the chocolate in the microwave using 30 second intervals and bring out the chocolate from the microwave at each interval to sit for some 30 seconds. Alternatively, you can place a bowl of chocolate in a pot of boiling water and allow it sit to melt.
- Pour some melted chocolate out and dip the mouth of your dip bowl inside it.
- Cover the dipped portion of the bowl in cookie crumbs.
- The final look of your dipping bowl should be similar to what is in 5 and 6
Coating Banana's
- Get out your banana, granola, peanut butter and Oreo cookie chunks.
- Carefully peel your banana's and use the peanut butter to coat the end of your banana, do this for two pieces.
- Dip the ends of your remaining banana fingers into melted chocolate.
- Finally pour some granola onto the peanut butter coated bananas, and you can pour Oreo chunks onto the chocolate dipped banana'.
Placing Crackers and Dip Bowls
To start with placements, arrange the crackers at the center of the grazing board to lie all the way across, and then put the dipping bowls on opposite sides of the arranged crackers.
Placing Milk Sticks and Pancakes
- Carefully place the milk sticks right beside a dip bowl at one end of the crackers.
- On the opposite side of this same dip bowl, mount the pancake tower.
- Fill up the dip bowl with some melted chocolate and put some chocolate bars right beside the pancakes.
Placing Short Bread and Wafer Sticks
- Arrange the shortbread on the other side of the dip bowl.
- Put the wafer sticks right next to the shortbread
Placing Plantain, Tiger Nuts and Almonds
- At the space below the dipping bowl, carefully stack some plantain chips.
- On the empty side of the Wafer sticks, place some tiger nuts and almonds adjacent to each other.
Placing Dates and Puff-Puff
- On the empty side of the newly placed dates and tiger nuts, carefully arrange the puff-puff and dates.
- Refer to the AutoCAD sketch if you experience and difficulties, the keys are there as a guide
Placing Digestives and Popcorn
- Place a roll of digestive biscuits at the opposite end of the wafer sticks
- Put the popcorn in a bowl and place at the side of the grazing board closer to the puff-puff
Placing Banana's, Cookies and Chin Chin
- Carefully put the bananas at the other end of the second dip bowl, near the popcorn.
- Arrange the cookies under the dip bowl to cover up the space.
- Place the chin chin on the remaining empty space between the digestives and cookies.
- Place a chocolate bar on top the pancakes
- Drizzle the puff puff with some melted chocolate
The grazing board is now ready to be gulped down!
