Chocolate Truffles | 2 Ingredients
Chocolate truffles are an impressive dessert to bring with you to a party! The best part about it is that there are only two ingredients that go into making them, plus toppings of your choice. Tools and Ingredients
Ingredients
- 8 ounces 64% Chocolate
- ½ cup (120 ml) Heavy Cream
For the Coating
- Powdered Sugar
- Dutch Cocoa Powder
- Sprinkles
- Crushed Candy Canes
- or any other toppings of your choice
Tools
- All Clad Sauce Pan 3qt
- Spiral Whisk
- Pyrex Mixing Bowl
- gloves (for rolling)
- spatula
- containers for toppings
Chop the Chocolate
Finely chop the chocolate and place in a heatproof bowl.
Heat the Heavy Cream
Add the heavy cream to a small saucepan and heat the cream until it just simmers.
Pour Over Chocolate
Pour the cream over the chocolate and allow to sit for 5 minutes.
Stir
Gently stir the mixture together until smooth and shiny. It will come to together fairly quickly and with little effort, just keep staring. It should be nice and silky smooth when it's all done with no clumps.
Cover and Chill
Place plastic wrap directly on top of the chocolate and place into refrigerator for 3 hours to chill. While you wait for the ganache to chill, prepare your coatings and place each one on separate bowls.
Get Messy and Roll
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. After 3 hours remove filling from refrigerator and remove the plastic wrap. Using an ice cream scoop, scoop out ganache and roll into balls using gloves.
Add Toppings
Place balling unto sheet with parchment paper. Once you have rolled out all the balls, dip and roll the truffles in which ever coating you like. Enjoy!
