Christmas Rail Car 1

train car7.JPG

This is rail car number one in what (I hope) will be a series of ten, one published every two weeks until Christmas. Based on Spelling Snowmen:

https://www.instructables.com/id/Spelling-Snowmen-C...

this 3D printed train car (plastic wheels, axle and bed) fits O gauge track and opens the door to one of a kind train sets.

Print two "rail carrier beds" and four "rail wheel shorts" using a 3D printer. You can use 3dhubs.com to find a local printer if you don't have access to a printer.

Insert the wheels into the carrier. On the end with the coupler, you may have to use a screwdriver to leverage the wheel/axle into place.

Insert the other wheel. Do this for both sets.

Print the rail bed and rail bed caps. Place the bed on the two spindles from the wheel assemblies. Place the cap on the top of the spindles (glue if desired--I use gel control super glue--Loctite).

and place it on the rail car. You are ready to roll!
