Chunky Knit Seed Blanket

You'll need 3 kgs of felted wool roving or 120 meters of super chunky yarn.

Cast on 17 stitches, or if you'd like a wider blanket you can cast on as many as you'd like the blanket to be wide.

Slip the first stitch in every row (this makes the edges smooth) then:

Row 1: knit 1, purl 1, knit 1, purl 1, continue with this pattern to the end of the row.

Row 2: purl 1, knit 1, purl 1, knit 1, depending on how many stitch you have you may have to be very careful that you aren't knitting or purling a stitch that has been previously knitted or purled.

TIP

Always look at the previous row. If the stitch you're on has been previously knitted, you now need to purl it. If the stitch has been previously purled you now need to knit it.

This will give you a nice bumpy pattern.
