Supplies
Ingredients:
- 1/4 cup of sugar (50g)
- 1 tsp of cinnamon (2g)
- 2 Tbsp of butter, melted (28g)
- 3 to 4 small tortillas, flour or corn
Tools:
- Basting brush
- Bowls
- Pizza roller or knife
- Sheet pan or cooking sheet
- Parchment paper or a silicone baking mat
Melt the Butter
Start by preheating the oven to 375 F/190 C. Then melt the butter either in the microwave or on the stovetop, or you can even place it in an oven-safe bowl or pan and set it in the oven while it is preheating.
Then take your storebought or homemade tortillas and lay them out flat. Baste the tops of each one with melted butter.
Cinnamon and Sugar Time
Combine the cinnamon and sugar in a small bowl or add it to an old spice container. I always have a spice container filled with cinnamon and sugar, since I use it so much.
Sprinkle a layer of cinnamon and sugar on top of the tortillas. Then use a pizza roller or knife and cut the tortilla into wedges or strips.
Bake Those Tortilla Chips
Now place them on a sheet pan lined with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat. Lay them flat and they can be close together.
Bake on the middle rack for 8 to 15 minutes. Until nice and golden brown.
Remove them from the oven and allow them to cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy!
*NOTE: You can also cook these in the air fryer, and set the temp to be the same, but it will take less time (5 to 6 minutes). Also, you can't do as many in the air fryer, but great for just one person. I personally like how they turn out better in the oven.
