Coffee Table
Decided to make a nice, heavy duty coffee table using actual 2" lumber that can't be found at your local Home Depo. Thing weighs a ton, but looks pretty cool.
Started off by grabbing some 2"x10" unplanned lumber
Cut the sides out
Kreg jigged the sides then secured them to the top and bottom
I was then told that I cannot have lumber coloured furniture at my house, so I decided to give it a white wash finish. All I did was make a 50/50 mix of water and white paint. Brushed it on following the grain. Then wiped it off following the grain as well. Be careful because certain woods will absorb at different rates, so what I did was lay one layer off in small section and wipe immediately. Had to cover everything twice, but was worth it to get everything even.
I then added 4 cast iron metal casters for some style. I don't have a pic of that right now, but add a little more of an industrial element to the build.
