Concocting a Smoked Orange Japanese Old Fashion
I love an Old Fashion. There are many different whiskey's and flavors that can take your Old Fashion to the next level. One of my favorites is using Japanese whiskey and smoked orange.
Supplies
Equipment
- Rocks Glass
- Large Ice Cube Tray
- Jigger
- Bar Spoon
- Fruit Peeler
- Toothpick / Skewer
Ingredients
- 2 oz. Hibiki Japanese Whiskey
- 3 dashes Smoked Orange Bitters
- 1/2 oz Simple Syrup
- 2 Luxardo Cherries
- 1 Orange
- 1 Large Ice Cube
Make Your Ice Cubes
Take your large ice cube mold, fill it with water, and stick it in your freezer
Pour Your Whiskey
Grab your rocks glass and jigger.
Use your jigger to measure out 2oz of Hibiki Japanese Whiskey into your rocks glass.
Add Your Simple Syrup and Smoked Orange Bitters
Grab your jigger and measure out 1/2 oz of simple syrup into your rocks glass.
Add 3 dashes / drops of the smoked orange bitters into your rocks glass.
Drop a large ice cube into your rocks glass.
Garnish Your Drink
Take your Luxardo Cherries and skewer 2 of them onto a toothpick. Set aside.
Take your peeler and your orange. Peel off a slice of the orange.
