Concrete Garden Project: House Numbers

Concrete Garden Projects how-to: house numbers

It's easy to decorate your exterior by adding large, charming house numbers.

You will need:

  • fine concrete
  • foam floor puzzle pieces
  • piece of board
  • oil
  • paintbrush
  • spatula
  • weights
  • file

Step 1: Begin by oiling the board and the edges of the puzzle piece with the paintbrush.

Step 2: Place a few weights on the mold to keep it from moving, then mix the concrete and fill the mold.

Step 3: Level the surface with a spatula, leaving it smooth and neat.

Step 4: Leave the concrete to set for 24 to 48 hours, depending on the size of your number.

Step 5: Carefully remove the mold.

Step 6: Smooth away any sharp edges with a file.
