Organize Your Dangly Things
All girls need a special place to hang their shiny things.
This is a simple project to save some counter space in the getting ready zone, and look fancy while doing it.
Gather Materials
I had this old sheet of metal in a closet from a previous DIY project. It is very thin and lightweight but it has a nice design cut into it. I took careful measurements around the edges and started a simple drawing in illustrator. This could have been a straight rectangle frame but since I like rounded corners I added a little fillet to each inner corner. In addition to the frame I also added several rectangles that will be used later for hanging and attaching the metal.
Laser Cut Wood
Now that we have the frame designed I just imported the drawing into our laser cutter software. It only took a few minutes to cut this out. I used 1/8" plywood.
Assemble
Glue up the wood and metal together and attach some magnets and hangers to the metal.
Hang It Up and Appreciate
Hanging it on the wall is very simple, and you want to make this sturdy so it doesn't come off the wall. The gaps in the mesh are really nice to
