Cookies With Amaranth, Cornflakes Spelt and Sultana
Hi cookie friends and others :-)
From time to tíme I feel the urge to experiment with food. Today I was checking the kitchen cabinet and found some puffed cereals. Make some cookies was my first idea. Said and done!
When I'm experimenting without given recipts it's agood idea to write down the recipes. Maybe the result is tasty and I want to reproduce it some other time ;-)
In short, not quite bad.
Maybe you want to try and enjoy them.
Supplies
- 250 gr. Mehl Type 405 (cake flour)
- 125 gr. Zucker (sugar)
- 125 gr. Butter
- 1 Ei (egg)
- 1/2 Pck. Backpulver (8 gr. baking soda)
- 1 große Tasse gepuffter Dinkel (1 big cup of puffed spelt)
- 1 große Tasse cornflakes
- 1 große Tasse gepuffter Amaranth
- 250 gr Sultaninen (sultana)
Schokolade (chocolate)
Putting All Together
First of all, take the chocolate and put it into the baker!
Next I kneaded flour, sugar, butter (not melted), the egg and baking soda with the machine to a smooth dough.
Only now I added the puffed cerials and sultanas to avoid squeezing of them.
Eat the rest of your chocolate.
Mold the Cookies
A 50mm cookie cutter (south German: Ausstecherle) was applied as molding tool.
New Idea: next I will make some other cutters for different shaped cookies.
Bears and Peppa Pig I've already made ;-)
Back to the topic! I took an ice cream disher to measure and to bring the paste into the mold.
Press it smoothly into the mold and remove the same. The amount of paste will yield 40 cookies.
Put it into the 180 C pre heated oven
Baking time is around 15 minutes.
Enjoy!
