Here I will show you how to make a copper book mark that is perfect for reading in the spring sun.

You will need:
Copper sheet
Tin snips
Hammer (optional)
Torch (optional)

Remember to be safe!

P.S. When making this I hadn't planned on making an instructable so I don't have pictures of the process. I am very sorry.

Cut It

Here you simply need to use the tin snips to cut out a book mark at whatever size you want. Voila! You have a copper book mark! You may want to sand the edges since it is likely very sharp. If you're not satisfied continue reading to see other aesthetic elements to add.

Hammer It

This will ding it up an make it look more worn. Continue hammering until you like how it looks.

Heat It

Here I used a mini butane torch to heat up the copper until it became hot enough for colors to be changing on it. Once you get to this point heat the whole thing for a little longer before dunking in water. This will give the bookmark many interesting colors.

Tips!

There you have it! If you have any tips on the book marks please share them in the comments!
