Copycat: How to Make a McDonald’s Thickshake
Hey everyone! Today I’m showing you how to make a McDonald’s thickshake! One of my favourite types of drinks is a thickshake, it’s sweet, cold, flavoursome and thick. I always like to look up recipes on google, but I never seemed to find a recipe that was like a McDonald’s shake. So here I am today with my own recipe to hopefully help you guys out there like me!
(My recipe is sugar-free, needs 2-3 ingredients and everything you have at home)
Supplies
You will need:
1-2 frozen bananas
Milk (of your choice)
1 add in (cocoa powder, vanilla extract, strawberries etc.)
A good blender
Step 1: Getting Everything Ready
If you haven’t done so, chop your bananas, put it in a zip-lock bag, then freeze it till frozen. When done, take the bananas out, and leave it for 5 mins to soften up a bit. While waiting, take out your milk. There are no measurements in this recipe as you can chose how thick you want your shake to be. Now choose what flavour you want your thick shake to be. Add strawberries for a strawberry flavoured shake, cocoa powder for chocolate, and a few drops of vanilla extract for vanilla.
Step 2: Making the Thickshake
Put some banana into the blender along with a splash or two of milk. Blitz everything. Repeat the process till you have used up all the banana.
Step 3: Finishing It Off
Now you have the base of the thickshake, you can now add in your flavoring. I’m adding in a few drops of vanilla extract, but you can add whatever you like to flavor it. If the shake is not sweet enough to your tastes, add a dollop of honey. Then serve and enjoy!
