Cordless Clip on Egg Scrambler

I'm Pranal Suthar and I'm a senior from Dalton High, Have you ever woke up early and felt too lazy to cook yourself some breakfast and wished there was a better alternative? Well now there's an actual invention that'll make you perfectly cooked scrambled eggs. This invention is extremely easy to use, inexpensive, and surprisingly useful.

Supplies

What you need is a 3d printer and some heat resistant filament, your choice of glue, screws and an electric motor, a housing to hold it, and a type C charging port to connect and some metal attachments.

research- look online for some inspiration. I found this type of egg scrambler, it's based off a completely different design but I feel as if mine could work a little more efficiently as it doesn't run off of batteries. I also found that if I make different size ends for the scrambler, I can make different consistencies and I can make it fit different pots. i took the main idea from the egg beater shown in the second picture. I thought what if I made it automatic and with a different spinning part.

Making the Base

The first step i did was make a 3.5in by 2inch C clip facing down, then i extruded it out by .35in. I did the same thing again and attached them together but closed the bottom on the backside. I then created a small platform on top for the mechanism.

Creating a Way to Attach the Mixer

After you make the platform for the mixer, extrude the platform out by .25-.5 as it really depends on your preference. Next, make a .35 diameter circle right in the middle of the platform and extrude it out from .3-.55. I would say .45 because that extrusion controls how high the mixer sits. Right on top of that cylinder you extruded, make a rectangle on top of it and extrude it out by 1.5 inches, and then, you draw out a circle right into the square. Remove the corners of the square and turn it into a ring to hold onto the motor.

Making the Motor Housing and Pivoting Arm

Lastly, take the diameter of the inside of your ring and use that to make the motor housing. extrude a hollow cylinder and bottle neck it out a little about halfway through and make a big rectangular prism at the end of it and fillet the edges of it. put a hole for a button on the side of it so you can attach a swinging mechanism within.

Attaching the Mixing Bit.

Inside the housing for the motor, thread the hole for the mixing bit and clean the edges up for a clean fit. After you thread it, make some mixers for the scrambler by taking the thread diameter and copy those down and put it on the front of a long extrusion in the shape of a rake on one side by making a zig-zag pattern and removing it with the extrude tool. and on the other side, make a flat spatula type of blade close to the bottom of the piece. In addition, you can control how long you want the mixing bit to be based on your pot size.
