Creem Cheese Bites
Hi guys, it's Ethan1023. These are some delicious cheese bites that are sure to leave you wanting more.
I usually only make these for parties, since they're somewhat hard to make. It's Cream Cheese and Bacon, wrapped up in a biscuit. Delicious! I hope you enjoy these delicious snacks.
Ingredients
You can't make (snack) foods without ingredients, right?
Here's the list of ingredients needed to make the Creem Cheese Bites.
8oz of Cream Cheese*
1/4 cup of Sour Cream
2 tbsp of Chives
2 tbsp of Parsley flakes
4-5 Strips cooked bacon**
A light sprinkle of Seasoning (or Garlic) salt
Got those? You'll also need tablespoon measures, 1/4 cup measure, an electric mixer, and a sharp knife. Well, let's get cooking.
*These come in 8oz packages, but you can measure out 8 ounces like I did.
**You can use bacon bits. There should be a proportion scale on the back that concerns the bacon/bacon bit ratio.
Prepare the Bacon
The first step is to preheat the oven to 375 or 400, whichever you choose. Go ahead and take 5 strips of bacon and put it in the oven (on a grease pan, of course) for about 13 minutes. You want to get this cooking while you start the filling.
Create the Filling.
Take the cream cheese and add 8 ounces to the mixing bowl.
Add 1/4 cup of sour cream.
Add a handful of chives (chopped).
Add a sprinkle of Garlic (or Iodized) salt and some parsley flakes.
Leave that to sit while we get back to the bacon.
Back to the Bacon.
Take the cooked bacon out of the oven and let it cool.
Once it's cool enough to eat, take it and chop it up into small, bite-size pieces.
Add that to the Cream Cheese mixture.
Mixing It Up.
Take the bacon/cream cheese mixture and churn it with an electric mixer on medium speed for about 15 seconds.
Prepare the Bites.
Go to the oven and preheat it to 375 F.
Take the biscuit dough, peel back the wrapper, and smack it really hard against a hard surface.
Take on of the biscuit circles out and knead it as thin as you can without breaking the surface.
Take a dollop of mix and put it in the center. Spread the spoonful out onto the entire biscuit.
Proceed to roll the biscuit into a log and crimp the fold to keep it in place.
Then cut it into 4-5 different pieces. Take a cooking tray and oil it up with some spray Canola Oil.
Put the uncooked bites onto the tray and repeat the process until you've filled the entire tray.
Put the tray into the oven for about 12 minutes.
Remove and Enjoy.
Go ahead and remove them from the oven, wait for them to cool, and enjoy.
Thanks so much for looking at this (albeit some of the pictures make me cringe).
