Creeper Bunny Plush
If you're a fan of Minecraft (or just like bunnies), then this is the project for you!
Here are some simple steps for making your very own Creeper Bunny Plush.
For this project, you will need the following:
- Green Digital Print fabric (At least a yard long; can be found online or at your local fabric store)
- Sewing needle
- Thread (Either of Green, Black, or Dark Brown color)
- Poly-Fil
- Cotton Balls
- White and Black Charcoal
- Pencil
- Ruler
- Permanent Black Marker
- Safety Pins
- Scissors
Fold fabric in half.
With a ruler, measure out width-wise a foot of fabric. Make a line to mark the foot length and cut vertically up so length wise you get 3 feet of fabric and a width that is a foot long.
Turn the fabric inside out (whilst still being folded in half) and with your white charcoal, sketch a design of the head on the lower portion of the fabric.
After making your design, begin cutting around it. To ensure that the ears stay in place, attach a safety pin onto each ear. You will want to make sure the front and back side of the fabric is proportioned and equal in size.
The results after cutting around the entire design will look like this.
From the side of the cutout, begin sewing around the cutout.
You will want to make sure that at the bottom of the cutout, to leave an opening of at least 2 inches long. It will be needed in order to turn the cutout inside out as well as to make room for stuffing.
After sewing the head cut out, use the remaining fabric to sketch the body of the bunny.
(You may make the limbs longer or shorter to your liking, but at least an inch in length.)
Cut out the body outline. Like with the ears for the head cutout, use safety pins to help the limbs stay in place.
Sew all around the body outline. Like with the Head Cutout, you will want to leave an opening at the top in order to turn it inside out and fill it. Remove safety pins off of ears and limbs.
Turn both the head and body inside out gently. Stretch out the corners if needed with your fingers or pencil. Do not worry if it appears small at first, as it will stretch out when filled.
For the ears, stretch out pieces of cotton ball and stuff into each ear.
Once the corner of the ears are rigid enough, you can begin stuffing the head and a bit of the ears with Poly-Fil.
Fill in the body portion with Poly-Fil. Like with the ears, the limbs at first can be stuffed with cotton balls to make the limbs more rigid.
Align the head portion with the body and sew it on.
With Black charcoal, sketch the Creeper face onto the head.
Use a permanent black marker to outline the sketch and fill in the sketch afterwards.
