Crochet Jellyfish

This project is one of the projects that look hard but are one of the easiest to make. You can even make it in any colors you would like and you can switch the colors around. These are good for decoration, gifts or even a baby shower. This project only took me an hour and I think it is super easy for beginners. Please make sure to check out my YouTube on my profile!

• 5 mm hook
• 3.5 mm hook
• Darning needle
• Scissors
• Stitch markers
• White yarn
• Light colored yarn
• Darker colored yarn
• Beads and charms (optional)

Row 1: For this first row you are going to start with a magic ring then add 6 single crochets. (6)

Row 2: Chain 1. Make sure you mark your stitch in the start of each row so you can keep track of your stitch count. increase in each stitch (12)

Row 3: Do 1 single crochet, increase (18)

Row 4: 2 single crochets in separate stitches, increase. (24)

Row 5: 3 single crochets in separate stitches, increase. (30)

Row 6: 4 single crochets in separate stitches, increase. (36)

Row 7: 5 single crochets in separate stitches, increase. (42)

Row 8: 6 single crochets in separate stitches, increase. (48)

Row 9-11: Single crochet in each stitch. (48)

cut and fasten off.

You can use the extra yarn from the beginning to hang your jellyfish.

Cut off 2 inches of white and connect the lighter color. 

Row 1-4: Single crochet in each stitch

Row 5: Chain 3, double crochet in the same stitch as the chains. Do 4 double crochets in each of the next stitches.

With your darker color, single crochet around the rim of the ruffles then cut and fasten off.

With the same yarn, slip stitch around above row 6

Slip stitch twice towards the middle

 chop at 12 inches and pull through

Pull loose end back out from the same stitch

Pull across and make in symmetrical

Continue doing this around with a 2-stitch gap

Add this on the outside of the white with a 4-stitch gap

With your darker color

Chain 60, Skip 2, 3 half double crochet in each chain

Make 3

Single crochet a white border 

You may have to twist them to make them look spiral. 

I made 5 tentacles with just chains. I did 30 chains on each one.

You can add beads to these.

This part is just repeating the first 8 rows of the white part.

Row 8: 6 single crochets in separate stitches, increase. (48)

sew half of the bottom cover to the main part. 

Switch to a small hook

Add the tentacles to around the middle

Put the chain tentacles towards the outside but not on the edge

Add stuffing or yarn scraps and continue sewing the bottom.
