Cucumber Sculpture: Bicycle

Hi! I am going to show you how to make this quick and easy bike made out of a cucumber. The average cucumber can supply enough for 3 bikes! The technique used in this tutorial can be used to make loads of other sculptures. You can use anything that is sturdy, round, and can be cut with a knife.

5 cucumber slices of similar width and size

A large knife capable of cutting cucumbers

A paring knife

A cutting board

Using the picture above as reference, cut notches in the slices. It helps to cut a small notch first, as you can always get bigger, but you can't get smaller.

Using the images above as a guide, place the slices into their appropriate places. Please note that the 2 pieces used to keep the bike up don't have a notch, they just slide into the notches in the wheels.
