Take the original handles off gun and trace them onto the wood. Then cut them out on the band saw.

Fitting and Shaping

Most revolvers have notches that allow the hand to hold onto the gun. Before you start shaping the handle, match the holes up on the gun to the handle and drill the holes to match, then drill the main hole in the center for the main center screw. Once you have the holes drilled (not done in this picture) start shaping the handle at first with wood files then once the shape is where you want it start to sand it to get it smooth.

Attaching Handles

After you finish polishing you can attach the handles by just screwing the handles together and onto the gun frame.

Side note- With dense woods you should be able to screw the screw into one of the sides without use of a nut by simply making a hole slightly smaller than the screw. The screw should be able to screw into the wood and hold firmly if the wood is strong enough.

Ornamentals (Optional)

Using the dremel make a channel to fit the design you want (in this case a cross). Then cut out the design and glue it into the channels then clamp them in place. Then once they dry, enjoy. Let me know what you think in the comments. Thank you and God bless!
