  • The DuPont rainbow wire commonly comes in 40pin strips and I recommend sticking to the female ends when customizing. (With or without housing.)
  • Various preferred sizes of housing connectors.
  • Optional: Long Male Header Pins ;-)

Remove the Housing

Remove the housing by gently sticking a pin under the plastic tab located on one side of the end of the female connector's housing, either from a male wire or the 2.54mm header pin.

- the trick is to push the wire into the housing so that you can get under the plastic tab
