Looking for a Design
The first thing to do is to look for a good, appealing design that you wish to print on your bag. You can go on the Internet and look for a design such as one shown in the image, or create your own design using Adobe Photoshop or Paint.NET. Make sure you save this design as well.
Printing Your Design
After you have found the perfect design, insert a sheet of transfer paper into your printer. Make sure you insert the paper correctly so that the design is printed on the blank side of the sheet.
However before you print, it is a MUST that you first flip the text or image horizontally before printing it, otherwise the design will be printed as a mirror image on your bag.
Go ahead and print your design, and cut it out if necessary.

Transfering the Design
Lay out your tote canvas on a hard surface. Before proceeding with the iron, make sure you put a wooden hard block or a thick journal such as one shown in the picture between you bag. This is to make sure that your design does not get imprinted on both sides of your bag.
Place your design face down on you bag, and iron the design onto the bag, keeping in mind to start at the edges and work your way into the center of the design.
The settings of the iron and the time needed for each design to be imprinted varies; make sure you read the instructions on your packet of transfer paper sheets for additional guidance.

Peeling Off the Transfer Paper
Let the design cool for 2-3 minutes. After this, slowly peel off the backing from the transfer paper, after which you will see your design imprinted on your bag.
The Final Product
Here is the final result- your own customized tote canvas! You can always try different designs, sizes, colors and so forth. Now wasn’t that easy?
