D4E1 Ring Rattle

The rattle allows blind and deaf people to feel and hear the rhythm of the rotating ring.

  • 3d prints
  • tube with diameter 8mm in aluminium
  • juggle ring

You can buy the juggle ring in the Decathlon. The tube is easy to find online or in a DIY shop like Brico. The 3D prints can be easy printed with a little 3D printer like the Ultimaker.

3D Printing

First, print the 3D models 

  • middle part
  • gear
  • lid

the STL files can be found here.

The Axis

Cut the aluminium tube about 25cm. This part will become the axis.

Through Everything

Slide the axis through all the holes. The gear should be inside the socket.

Close With the Lid

Put the lid on the socket, so that it is completely closed.

Drill

Drill a hole in the juggle ring.

Glue

Glue the ring firmly to the shaft. You are ready!
