DIY Automatic Multi Usage Solar Garden Lamp ( 12w High Power Lamp With USB Charger & PIR Motion Sensor...)
energy source. It does not disrupt the environment or create a threat to Eco-systems the way oil and some other energy sources might. It does not cause greenhouse gases, air or water pollution. This is a small problem compared to the huge impact that one oil spill can have on the environment.
Therefore i think Solar Panels have become such a good option for saving money so try to protect our mother nature...!
We Need...
Hardware
• 2pcs of 6v solar panel or 1pcs of 12v solar panel about 500mAh
• 2pcs of 5W USB LED lamp or 20pcs of 5730 smd chips( you can get it from cheap chinese led lamp )
• 4pcs of 18650 3.7v 2500-3000mAh batteries ( i got it from old laptop battery )
• 2pcs of 10k presets
• Dot board
• 3pcs of 1N4004 diodes
• 3pcs of BC547 transistors
• 4pcs of Blue LEDs
• 10pcs of 20ohm resistors
• 6v realy
• PIR sensor
• Red LED
• 100mfd 25v capacitor
• 0.01mfd capacitor
• 220ohm , 100ohm resistors
• Outdoor lamp cover ( metalic cover is better)
• wires & solder wire
Structure
• Hot glue gun
• Mini Drill
• Soldering iron
• Tapes
• Cutter Blade
• Various nuts and bolts
• Other common Tools...
Making the Main Circuit...
in this circuit i use BC547 transistor instead of D880 because of its more sensitive than D880 transistor.
A passive infrared sensor (PIR sensor) is an electronic sensor that measures infrared (IR) light radiating from objects in its field of view. When the sensor is idle, both slots detect the same amount of IR, the ambient amount radiated from the room or walls or outdoors. When a warm body like a human or animal passes by, it first intercepts one half of the PIR sensor, which causes a positive differential change between the two halves. That's how this sensor work with this lamp
if you use 2pcs of 6v solar panels wire them serial type. The battery is self protected from discharge because a 6v relay can't turn on with less than about 6V, and it's overcharge protected because of the solar panel is about 12V 500mah , and the maximum battery voltage is about 7.4V 5000mah it can cover 10hours day time.(its well over than the real sunny day time)
then you need to make the led panel more accurately
Making the Led Bulb...
You can get those 5730 smd chips from old chinese led bulb or buy them from local shop
then remove then from the circuit & solder them carefully after that you need to add 20ohm resistor finally attach them to the bulb casing, now the bulb is ready to use ...
Making Battery Pack..
You need 4pcs of 18650 batteries & holders
then take some screws and attach those holders to the dot board strip
finally add a little amount of hot glue to screws
Assemble Parts to Lamp Cover & Finishing Touches...
After making all electrical items please recheck all of them before mounting them
then you need to add them to the lamp cover
further more first you need to attach main circuit and other wires into the lamp cover
Then you can attach the PIR sensor and bulb to it ,
After that solder the solar panel to wires
then cover all the joint with pvc tape or heat shrink tube
then add some hot glue and cover the PIR sensor for protect it from water
after that attach the solar panel on to the lamp cover by using hot glue
finally fit the cover with nut & bolts
Test and Close-up the Lamp...
After attach them all add glass plates and other decorations plug your mobile phone or any USB plug type to the
socket then you can see its charging
cover the solar panel & move any thing near the PIR sensor then you can see blue leds start to flash and after short period they turn off
then you can assemble it in a any place you like by using a pipe...
