DIY Battery String Light Ties

Hey, y'all! It has been a HOT MINUTE since my last tutorial! Haha. I moved earlier this year due to neighbor issues and it's been a little crazy ever since. But I'm back now! :D

Have your string lights been driving you up a wall on a yearly basis? They love to get intertwined with each other no matter how neatly you pack them at the end of the season? -_-Well, this DIY is for you! :D Let's go!

These ties work with any string lights, battery operated or plug in-I just used Halloween ones because it's spooky season.

For this DIY, you need the following:

-Fat quarter

-Interfacing

-Scissors

-Glue stick

-Pins

-Washable pen

-Velcro

-Tie Template

-Matching thread (Or contrasting, if that's how you roll LOL)

-String Lights

Grab your interfacing, fat quarter, scissors, pins, pen, and your template. Trace around your template onto your fabric and carefully cut it out. Cut a piece of interfacing.

Haha.

Grab your piece of interfacing and your tie. Iron the interfacing on, then sew around it, leaving a gap for turning. Make sure you clip your corners and trim off excess fabric.

Now topstitch your lovely tie.

Cut your Velcro and tack it onto your tie. Sew it on.

Tie up your lights and enjoy tangle free lights forever! :D
