DIY Cardboard Mouse Bungee
This Is Simple, very basic, and very easy to make mouse bungee for you desk that you can use at home for whenever you are using your desk. There is no complex machinery or complex tools required to make this. Just simple items you should have around your house.
There aren't any super dangerous tools and safety risks attached to this project. Just be careful not to poke or stab yourself with the scissors or the knife.
Supplies
Scissors or knife
Cardboard (18in x 18inch)
Stapler
Pen or Pencil
Ruler
Step 1: Begin Sketching
just start with your 1ft by 1ft cardboard piece (mines a little smaller) and begin by drawing a 5 inch by 4 inch box using your ruler. I recommend using pencil so you can erase if you make mistakes.
Step 2: Continue Sketching
Once you've drawn the box, find the midpoint on the longer side and then draw a tab that is 4 inches long and 1 inch wide, Then mark the point on the tab that is 3 inches, that will be used later.
Step 3: Continue Sketching
Then, on the other side of the box, find the midpoint and then draw another tab that is 5 inches long and 1 inch wide. Once again, on this tab make a mark at 3 inches, this will be importantly later.
Step 4: Continue Sketching
Once you have both tabs and they are marked at 3 inches you can draw a line from each corner of the center box to the 3 inch mark on both of the tabs. This is important as it will provide more stability in the overall construction.
Step 5: Cutting
Using scissors or a knife (be safe) cut the access cardboard off of the sides and you should be left with this shape.
Step 6: the Hole
On the tab that is longer, the one that was 5 inches you can draw a small circle in the top and then carve it out using your scissors or knife. This is the hole you are going to insert the cord through so make it big enough to slide a USB cord through it.
Step 7:Assembly
Once you've carved the hole and everything is ready you can now fold the two flaps inwards, towards each other. Fold the shorter tab underneath and then using your stapler or other adhesive, staple the two flaps together. Once you've done that you've finished!
You can now thread your mouse cord through the hole and you can place the mouse bungee on your desk and attach it to the desktop and you're all set. Enjoy!.
