The lesson you are going to learn is that the catapult works because the energy that the catapult has can be covered from one object to another. When you pull the stick and then let go the energy is released and then the energy is converted into energy of motion.

Gather All the Materials

The things that you will need in order to do theCatapult will be:

  • popsicle sticks (colored optional)
  • three to four rubber bands
  • A hot glue gun
  • a lid (bottle cap or sprinkle cap)

These are going to be all the things you will need in order to do this STEM project.

Next, collect six popsicle sticks and tie two rubber bands one on each side.

Afterwards put a popsicle stick on the frame. Then tie a rubber band start from the top and then tie it.

After that you will have to put hot glue on the inside of the rubber bands on both sides. Than put a popsicle stick on the hot glue.

Then you will need to put hot glue on the ends of the popsicle sticks that you just added and put a popsicle stick on it.

After that you will need to put hot glue on the stick that is sticking out. Then a water cap any kind of bottle cap. And you are done. Then you can put things in the lid and then you can make it go flying.
