DIY Christmas Mini Faux Window Decoration🎄🌟
Happy November! I want to start by saying, thank you all so much for stopping by and creating with me. Today is the start of my Christmas crafts. We're creating mini faux window decorations. We will be adding faux berries, greenery, lights, and more!
Supplies
Wooden craft sticks
I purchased a pack of 50 at Joann's
You will need
Holiday decoration assortments
I am using two wooden Christmas trees, winter berries, and greenery out of my pack
Paint
I'm using white for the faux window and English Ivy green on my wooden trees
Scissors
Twine- I'm using a green color twine
Hot glue
Paintbrush
Applying Paint to Your Craft Sticks
Start by applying white paint to your wooden craft sticks. I applied my paint just to the front section of my wooden sticks.
Creating Your Faux Window Design
Next, take some hot glue and begin to glue your sticks together. Start by creating a square box. Glue all four sticks together. Take a craft stick and glue it right in the middle of your square box. After, take your last stick, and glue it across the middle stick. This will create a T-shape in the middle of your box.
When you are done, your decoration will have four sections in the middle of your box.
Applying Paint Onto Your Christmas Assorted Decorations
I decided to go with mini wooden Christmas trees as my decorations. I added a few coats of my English Ivy paint. I allowed that to completely dry, and after I decided to add a few dots to my trees using my white paint.
Attaching Your Twine
Next, flip your faux window over. The back of your decoration should be facing up. Use your scissors and cut a section of your twine. After cutting your twine, you will then take your hot glue, and glue the ends of your twine down on the two sides of your window design. This will create a loop for hanging your decorations.
Adding Your Decorations Onto Your Window Design
Take your decorations and begin to add them to your window design. My wooden trees came with a string attached. I went ahead and glued the strings to the back side of the window. I wanted my trees to be able to move around. I also made sure to cut off any of the extra string.
Adding on Faux Greenery and Berries
I decided to add my faux berries and greenery. I added them to the bottom section of my window design. This is optional, but you can also add a bow to your design. I added a bow in the middle of my berries, and greenery.
Your Christmas mini faux window decoration is now complete. I added some snowflake lights to my decorations. Let me know if you decide to create your very own, and be sure to say hi! I love hearing from all of you. I'll see you soon.
