DIY Coin Sorter

Hello, in this project, I will be teaching you how to make a DIY coin sorter for pennies, nickels, dimes, and quarters. I hope you enjoy and good luck

First, you are going to start off by cutting the different coin-sized slots on a 10 inch by 2.5-inch piece of cardboard. After, you cut it, test the coins and make any adjustments necessary.

Cut out two 10-inch by 4.5-inch pieces and glue together to make one L shaped body.

Create three 90 degree L pieces that are 4 inches long and two inches high. Create two 90 degree L pieces that 4 inches long and 4 inches high. Then glue all those pieces at an equal distance from each other on to a 2.5-inch by 10-inch piece of cardboard. The two large L pieces should be kept on each side.

Next, glue the coin compartment on two the L body so the four-inch sides are glued to the bottom. Then, glue the sorting mechanism at a 30-degree angle so the end is about 1.5 inches from sides.

Next cut out a two - 2-inch by 10-inch pieces of cardboard. On one cut a hole one inch away from the end. The hole should be like a hole for a piggy bank. Next, glue the two pieces to make one long L piece. Glue the L piece onto the body so the hole side is above the sorting mechanism, and the side without the hole covers the side of the sorting mechanism.
