This instructable will teach you how to make your own candles using crayons! They are very easy and fun to make. I made these candles because I was looking for a simple gift to give to someone, and this was perfect.

Gather Your Materials

To make these candles, you will need:

Adding the Wick

First, you need to hot-glue the wick to the bottom of the candle holder.

Preparing the Crayons- Part 1

Next, take the paper covering off of the crayons.

Then, you will cut up the crayons. The smaller they are, the easier they will be to melt.

Melting the Wax

Pour one-half cup of the wax flakes into the measuring cup and then warm it up in the microwave until melted.

Placing the Crayons

While the wax flakes are melting, put the cut up crayons into the small cups.

Separating the Colors

After that, fill up the small cups with wax and then put in the crayons. (For half a small cup of wax, you will use half of a crayon. For example, you will use 1 crayon for a full cup of wax.)

Mixing Them Up

Stir until the crayons are completely melted. After this, you could add the scents if you want to by stirring them in. If the wax hardens, just take it out of the cup and warm it up again.

Pouring the Wax

Pour the first layer of wax into the candle holder. Let it dry. (You can use a funnel if you want.)

Pour the next layer, and then keep going on until you are finished.

Cutting the Wick
