I wanted to buy a dipping belt, but in the other hand why not make one out of simple materials?

Materials and Tools

For this instructable you need :

  • a heavy duty carabiner
  • some chain (each link 2 x 4 cm)
  • a pool noodle
  • a hacksaw
  • measuring tape
  • a piece of string

In the market you will find pool noodles with a hole in the middle and ones with no hole at all.

Buy one with a hole because it will make your life a lot easier.

Measure Your Waist

First of all measure your waist to cut the materials at the correct length.

For myself, I used a pool noodle piece 1 meter long and 1.80 meters of chain.

Prepare the Chain

Cut the chain using the hacksaw.

Then pass the string through the noodle's hole, tie one end to the last ring of the chain and pull the chain through the pool noodle.

Fasten the carabiner at one end of the chain and you are done!

Now go do some exercise with your new gadget!

I frequently use it in conjunction with my DIY Calf Raise Block.
