What you'll need:

1/2 cup baking soda

1/4 cup citric acid

1/4 cup cornstarch – I used arrowroot powder instead

1 tbsp. oil – I used almond oil

food coloring

some sprinkles (optional)

few drops of essential oil – I used peppermint and grapefruit essential oil

bath bomb mold

Mix Your Dry Ingredients

Put all of your dry ingredients together in a bowl. This is your baking soda, citric acid and cornstarch.

Give it a good stir with a spoon.

Add Your Oil

Slowly add 1 tablespoon of oil while you keep stirring the mixture.

This is your ‘wet’ phase and will make the mixture clump together.

You can also add a few drops of essential oil at this point. I used peppermint and grapefruit essential oil.

Coloring Time

Divide the mixture over several (smaller) bowls.

Add a different color of food coloring to each bowl.

Start by adding one drop, mix well and then add another.

I also added some gold cake sprinkles to the yellow batch.

Create Your Epic Bath Bomb

Fill up both sides of your mold with the mixture.

Press it down tightly as you go.

Fill up each half until they are somewhat overflowing. Next push both sides together and twist carefully until your mold is closed.

Let it dry overnight.

Reveal your beautiful bath bomb the next morning!
