DIY Gift Wrap Bow
DIY your very own customizable gift wrap bow! This gift topper is one that cannot be bought in stores and can be fully customizable to the recipient's taste.
Step 1: Materials
You will need:
•buttons
•ribbon
•glue gun
•scissors
Optional:
•tape
For the button, pick one that will compliment the ribbon color or pattern of your choice. Tape is optional to stick the bow on your gift, I found that the glitter bow did not stick at all with tape so I wound up hot gluing mine. The ribbons I used were bought from Michaels, and the buttons I got at a local craft store.

Step 2: Prepping
Take your ribbon and cut four pieces approximately 7" long, and another four pieces about 11 1/2" long. If your button had a little loop on the back to sew it onto fabric, break it off with scissors or pliers (otherwise it wouldn't glue to the bow properly).
Step 3: Gluing Part One
Use the glue gun to make a dot of glue in the center of the ribbon, then fold one end to meet the center and let the glue dry. Then, use the glue gun to make another dot of glue on top of the previously glued spot and fold the other end to the center.
Step 4: Gluing Part Two
Once you're finished gluing, the ribbons should look like those in picture one. Now it's time to make the bow! Take the first long piece and put a dot of glue in the center, then take the second long piece and lay it horizontal so it looks like a cross as pictured. Keep putting dots of glue in the center of the ribbon and gluing the ribbon pieces down as seen in the pictures until the bow is created. When arranging the second layer of shorter ribbons, don't layer each piece of short ribbon on top of the long ribbon. Arrange it so that the short ribbon is layered in the gaps of the long ribbon. It sounds confusing, so I made a little doodle to hopefully clarify it. Basically, you want the bow to look like there is obviously eight petals to the "flower", not four. That way, the bow looks fuller.
Step5: Gluing the Button
Take your button and break the hook piece off the back (if there is one), and glue it to the center of the boe. Viola, your bow is done! Now you can take or glue it to any present you have.
