MATERIALS:
1 x Balloon Weight
Ribbon
Water Proof Netting
Tape
Plastic
EQUIPMENT:
Scissors
Collect the balloon weight, netting and scissors.
I chose to use a balloon weight for my sinker, however you could also use washers or fishing sinkers.
Roll out a strip of netting and place the weight on top.
Cut a strip of netting long enough so that it will completely cover the weight with some excess at the top.
Repeat Step 3, placing the netting strips so that they form a cross under the weight as shown in the image above.
Collect the weight and plastic.
Wrap the weight in the plastic so that it is covered completely.
Secure with tape.
I chose to complete this step to assist with water-proofing the weight, however it is not essential.
Place the weight on top of the netting, as shown in the image above.
Collect the ribbon.
Pull the ends of the netting strips together at the top of the weight until it is completely enclosed.
Secure with a piece of ribbon as shown in the image above.
Add extra ribbon to the top of the sinker, using the same method as in the previous step.
Your sinker is complete and ready for the water!
