DIY Portable Friction Drive Ebike
INTRODUCTION
I always had an interest in developing an emergency transportation system just in case "the stuff really should hit the fan". In other words, if I had to get lost. Using engineering skills I had accumulated over the years, I thought, I'd put together a system, with all things considered.
The system had to be small, lightweight, efficient, independent of any type of fuel (gasoline) and provide enough power to get things done. For power requirements, the brushless DC electric motor with a wye-connected three-phase winding configuration was selected for evaluation.
Why Build a BLDC Friction Drive Ebike?
Will Rogers once said, “All I know is what I read in the Papers.” Look around you and tell me what you see? Brexit, Greece, EU, Italy, Puerto Rico, Venezuela, New World Order agenda, Wars, Migration, China, Russia, India, Banksters, Homeless, Stagnant wages, Inflation, Student debt, Corporate debt, State Debts, trillion dollar debts and on and on. Not good.
The Venezuela crisis is based on the past president Chavez policy of using oil revenue to pay for social programs for the poor. And why not, after all, Venezuela was the richest country in South America. (Sounds similar to countries with entitlement programs). When oil prices collapsed, the country found itself in debt and had a hard time meeting payroll. Especially groups like the coup drove military and police. Banksters saw a golden opportunity to step in with an offer of high-interest-rate bonds and the new president excepted. He needed the cash to stay in power. Thus creating more debts and eventually to default.
The point I am making is that any country controlled by politicians and banksters can create similar situations any time.
Unfortunately, we are all being “Duped” by fallacies presented in the mainstream media, special interest groups, Banksters, politicians and even courts. Believe me when I tell you, it's not for your benefit. Unfortunately, our elites have managed to make things worst.
Physics Behind the Development
BLDC preliminary Motor Analysis
The configuration, considered in this analysis, has a 12-tooth stator and a 14 pole rotor. Only every other tooth of the stator is wound, and each winding only encircles a single tooth. Each phase contains a total of 2 coils, and these coils are wound in series. The topology and some of the key dimensions are used as variables for analysis.
The purpose of this analysis is to predict the circuit parameters of the machine, ultimately allowing the voltage and current to be estimated for a desired torque and speed. The equations used in the worksheet are somewhat approximate, but they allow a design to be baselined before moving on to more elaborate analysis methods like FEA.
The Electronic Speed Controller was developed using KiCAD software. All schematics and Gerber files were checked using design rules. The board is a double layer type. The brain of the system includes an Arduino Nanochip. The program is downloaded via the USB port. Throttle potentiometer, power source, and hall effect inputs are made on the board via connectors.
