You will need:

2 3/4 inch long orange strips. You can choose whatever color you like, but keep in mind that for each flower you want to make, you have to multiply that number by five, in order to calculate the number of strips you need to cut.

*If you want to make a stem, you will also be needing 2 green strips.

Making the Petals

Using your quilling tools, coil the strips into loose circles, and then glue them. Pinch them at the ends. you have jsut made a petal! Repeat this step until you have used up all of your strips.

Once you have finished making the petals, it is time to start assembling the flowers. Take 5 petals, and arrange them like shown in the picture. Glue the side of the petals near the bottom, and in the middle. Repeat this step until you have used up all of your petals.

OPTIONAL: the Stem

For the stem, fold one strip in half, and glue it, so it appears that there is only one strip. Cut the other strip into short, about 2 inches, green strips, and then glue them to the top of the longer piece.
