Items Needed
Materials
- 1x2 ft of Pine Wood
- 3 Hook Screws 1/4 inch
- Wood Glue
- 2 Screws 1 1/4 inch
Tools
- Circular Saw
- Drill
- Cross Drill bit
- Drill bit 1/8
- Measuring Tape
- Sand Paper
Drawing and Sawing
You want to start off with the board, a marker and draw a line parallel to the 1 ft side. next you want to draw a line on board piece #1 that goes from the drawn line to the edge that measures the board at 1/2 ft. On board #2 draw another line from the edge to the drawn middle line measuring at 1/3 ft. Now Cut with the circular saw along all of the lines to get the boards you want.
Sticking It Together
You are going to want to get a spare piece of wood and use the piece of spare wood to rub would glue across the edge of the 1/3 size piece. Before the glue dries stick both pieces and the 1/3 size piece will be on top of the 1/2 size piece.
Drilling the Dots
With your measuring tape you are going to measure the distance between the dots that you are going to draw on the bottom of the 1/3 board. Now use the hole making drill bit to make a hole that doesn't go all the way through the board but enough for the hook screws to be able to go through. Run the hook screws through the three holes that you made.
Optional and Extra Step
You want to find a place to place your shelf and evenly place holes to drill yours two screws.
You can sand down the edges if you want and add a design unfortunately I wont be the one explaining how to engrave designs to your work.
Your Done!
Enjoy your new shelf as much as I will enjoy my new one!
