DIY Trump, Hillary and Other Political Sandwich Pricks

Attention! This instructable is made for people with a sense of humor, so if you don't have one then you probably should just stop reading this.

In my humble opinion, these magnificent pricks (just a play on words for presidential food picks) will decorate any event. In addition to their excellent appearance, these pricks also serve a very important function. They offer a sacred right of choice. Now, instead of just eating a regular sandwich or any other snack, you can have delicious, incomparable with anything else, uniquely pricked sandwichs! The best part is that you can pick any prick you like! The models were made by my friend - a digital sculptor and 3D artist Tomislav in collaboration with Treatstock. You can find these 3D printable models here https://www.treatstock.com/u/id1453

Here's what you will need:

3D models from Treatstock, available in Tomislav’s shop. Don’t worry these pricks are quite cheap!

A 3D printer (or you can use Treatstock’s 3D printing network)

Paint brushes

Matte Acrylic paint (the main colors are - red, yellow, green, blue, pink, brown, black and white)

RustOleum Satin Clear

Go to the store and choose one or several pricks. As they say, the more pricks, the better. If you have your own 3D printer, then you can just buy the model at Treatstock and print it yourself. If not, choose one of Treatstock's printing services to make it for you. Here I explain how to use Treatstock's 3D printing network. I recommend using PLA plastic, it is safe for health, biodegradable and can be used with food. If there are any imperfections, use sand paper to smooth them out.

Putting the First Layer of Paint On

I recommend using acrylic paint, it is much more suitable for the plastic surface. First, you should put on the primary layers, at least two, but three would be perfect! We used gloss paint, but matte will look better. Now, precisely start adding the details to the face. For example, the Donald Trump prick is tan, for this, mix orange and brown paints.

Adding Details

Barack Obama turned out to be my favorite. First, his hair was painted black, then a little white paint was added for his gray hairs. Not bad at all! Hillary Clinton has some makeup. We used red to stress her lips, blue to highlight the eyes and dark colors for adding texture to her hair. Part of the process can be seen in the video. After the painting is finished, cover only the head with RustOleum Satin Clear, you don't want the stick to have it on there because it will be in food.

Pricking

Now the main part - making some sandwiches and pricking them with our excellent food picks. They look so good, make sure that your guest doesn't eat the sandwich with the prick in it! You can find more cool models here: https://www.treatstock.com/
