DIY Wall Bracket Speaker

As I already had mentioned I really like to build my own things to solve my specific necessities.

Problem: Find a good way to fix my satellites speakers and have the ability to align and point the sound in the direction that I want.

Solution: After search a while over the web I found some good and cheaper solutions, but after a look around my office shop I found a small piece of aluminum and think - Why not create my own wall bracket speaker?

As is normal, I start drawing the idea on a piece of paper and finding the best dimensions for my apparel in some of the project photos you will find the proportions that I'm talking about.

Materials:

• Screws and nut
• Spray paint - color black matte

• Aluminum angle bracket

Tools:

• Dremel
• Electric sander
• Drilling machine
• Drill 6mm for metal
• Ruler
• Pencil
• Rasp
• Screwdriver
• Protection glasses
• Protection mask

Using the aluminum angle bracket as the main material it's possible to reuse many of the sides, I make a video to show to you how you can do this.

In summary here as the dimensions of each piece:

• Piece 1: 8 cm x 5.5 cm
• Piece 2: 9 cm x 2.5 cm
• Piece 3: 6 cm x 2.5 cm

To cut the aluminum I used the Dremel 3000 Tool (micro rectifies), with the cutting discs 15/16 model 420. I know that we have the cutting discs 1.1/2 mod. 456 specific to cut metal, but I have many of the 420 discs so I decide to use it.

After cutting we need to shape the pieces in a specific format, in the draw above you will the pointed area that indicates where you need to bend.

After shaping we need to make a few roles to connect the pieces with the screws, for this, I've used a drilling machine with a drill 6 mm.

I decided to sand the pieces to get a better finishing and for the ink grab better on the metal.

I used an electric sander to do this job and spray paint to fill all the pieces with the same color, I choose to paint with black matte because of it's a neutral color, but you can choose the color you want.

To paint I need to hang the pieces with a wire and then apply the ink.

I can take a look at the final result, I personally like the color and the finishing pieces.

It's very simple to mount the parts, you just need to screw each piece.

With the mounted part, you just need to fix the bracket on the wall and choose the best angle for your satellite speakers and then tight the screw and the nut to maintain the position fixed.

I really like the final product, it fits very well as I expected, I'm very satisfied with it. What are your impressions on?
