DIY Hand Trainer

This tutorial will show you how to make a training "machine" that will make your hands stronger!!!

You Will Need:

IMG_4939.JPG
  • a hot glue gun
  • rubberbands
  • 2 clothespins
  • glue sticks
  • 5 popsicle sticks

The Braces

Put one of your popsicle sticks and chop them up so that you have three equal length pieces. They should all be about 1,5 cm(ca.0,6 inches) each. The rest of the popsicle stick can be thrown away or speared for an other occasion. Now glue the pieces together like a sandwich.

It Is Coming Together

Glue the sandwich on one of the ends of a clothespin, like in the image. Then you glue the other clothespin on top, so the two front ends of the pins meet.

The Handles

To make the handles all you need to do is to glue a popsicle stick on each side of the hole thing you just made, so that they are sticking outward. For extra  support, glue on one more stick on each side, just to make sure nothing breaks.

Tension

For making some force, just wrap rubberbands tightly around the opposite side of the handles, and test it. When you feel that there is enough tention, you can stop. For me it was enough with one big and strong rubberband.

Have Fun!!

Have fun!! Challenge your friends to shake hands with you. You can bring this toy to school or even work, and just sit there working while you are training.
